Wireframing

Final Iteration

This is the final iteration where the team decided to change to the levels to stages. I had also played around with the opacity of the clouds to make it more realistic and I also added a gym button so that the player is able to go to the gym easily and not win a stage to go to the gym

Iteration 3

We then decided to add a fog of war into the map. This is to introduce discovery fun for the player as they do not know what is going to happen in the coming next level

Colour Scheme for the fog of war:
The colours that I used for the fog of war would be dark grey. The reason why I chose this colour is due to the fact that grey is the colour for

For my inspiration for the fog of war were pixelated clouds. The reason why I thought of clouds is due to the fact that is tangible and so that the player knows that the cloud would float away later as the progress in the game. The thing that i took away from these inspirations is that they al; uses different at least 3 tones of their pure colour or gray to be the shadow so that they look like they have several layers on to of the clouds.

Iteration 2

We had then decided on the 5 areas of the place which are Beach, Forest, Lake, Caves and Volcano. The rationale behind doing this is that all these locations are visually different areas. And on top of that it is geographically more difficult to venture to in real life. We had also tried to replicate the pixel art

These were my inspirations when drawing the map for the game. I looked at the way they drew several parts of the map like how they drew the trees, mountains and various other landscapes and how the placed buttons around the area. The thing that I took away from this is the way they plan out the map first before actually starting to draw and the different zones have different colours

Iteration 1
We then decided to change the art to the 8th wireframe. This is due to the fact that we wanted to make the level select visually appealing and on top of that we can help the player to differentiate the levels. The reason why we want the player to be able to differentiate the levels is due to the fact that during playtests the play testers commented that they saw the 5 levels to be of the same level. That is why Boon Wee and I tried to make the level seem more different by editing the visuals of the level design

Original

We had initially decided to use the 3rd wire frame to make the level select this is because it was easy to do so. The picture would be pictures of the level itself
